Boss needs to find right balance to earn reward at in-form Bolton
The Sentinel

PORT Vale writer CLIVE YOULTON has his say on the latest Valiants news...
GIVEN the boos that rang out after the Stockport defeat, there appears to be a tightrope on which Port Vale boss Darren Moore is currently walking.
Safely negotiate the next few League One fixtures and all will be well with the fanbase, but you get the feeling the dissention is never too far away at Vale Park.
Not that Moore is in any danger of losing his position as manager of the club, given the hierarchy placed all their chips on him with a five-and-a-half-year deal in February 2024, while he is effectively director of football too.
He has credit in the bank with a promotion under his belt, albeit with a relegation to his name too even though that was largely out of his hands.
He takes his team to seventh-placed Bolton Wanderers on Saturday who are unbeaten at home. The Lancashire club have won their last seven home games in all competitions while conceding only three goals.
On the face of it, it's another tough fixture for a team entrenched in the relegation zone.
