Big-screen bonanza for festive shoppers

SHOPPERS can enjoy two festive films on a newly-installed giant screen in Newcastle town centre.
Elf and The Polar Express will play on the 5.1 metre by 2.9 metre digital screen in High Street, near the junction with Hick Street, on Sunday. Some seats will be available but people can bring their own chairs too.
The films will be shown on alongside the Castle Artisan Christmas Market, which runs from 10am to 3pm. It will feature food stalls, a bar, free crafts and a visit from Santa and his Elves between 11am and 2pm. Elf starts at 10.30am, followed by The Polar Express at 1pm.
