Bate's ton is in vain for Dabbers as Oakamoor pick up the points

The Dabbers were set 220 for victory, but looked to be a long way off that target once they were reduced to 78-6.

However, A Bate compiled an excellent 118 not out, featuring 11 fours, while W Reyland weighed in with an unbeaten 33.

But Nantwich fell just short of a remarkable success as they drew stumps on 210-6 after double strikes from A Carnwell, J Palmer and I Booth.

J Mason’s 85, which contained 10 boundaries, had earlier underpinned Oakamoor's 219-5 from their allocation.

J Fullick (29) and J Wood (27) also chipped in, while N Birchall claimed a couple of victims.

Leaders Wood Lane seconds made it 11 wins out of 12 after a comprehensive away win at Meakins thirds. Wood Lane bounced back from 28-4 to amass 247-6 at the halfway point.

L Kelter was in sparkling form as he smashed 21 fours and four sixes in his 119, backed up by P Mason's 40 not out and M Hagan’s 28.
