County council has seized more than 32,000 illegal vapes in the past 3 years
-
STAFFORDSHIRE County Council has welcomed the ban on disposable vapes, which came into force on June 1.
The ban aims to tackle the growing public health and environmental concerns associated with disposable vapes. Disposable vapes are also difficult to recycle and have a devastating effect on the environment.
In Staffordshire, since 2022, the County Council's Trading Standards Service has seized more than 32,000 illegal and oversized vapes from shops and is supporting the government’s new ban.
