Defender Hall admits talk is cheap as Valiants look to end their miserable run of results

- Clive Youlton

CONNOR Hall wants Port Vale to take more care with their chances in the final third to help stop the run of dismal results.

The centre-back was once again in a backline that conceded, but it is at the other end he wants to see an improvement.

After the 1-0 defeat to Lincoln City he told Port Vale TV: “It was another difficult result for us.

“I didn’t think we were too far away, we just needed a bit of composure in the final third and create a little bit more in the final third and just find that one chance to fall for us that we can be clinical on.”

That chance did actually arrive late on but George Hall’s header was weak and straight at keeper George Wickens.

“I don’t think they had too much in terms of shots against us,” he continued. “Obviously the one that went in and one cleared off the line in the first half. That's just about it. And we came away with another loss.
