14-month ban for driver over B-test limit

DRINK-DRIVER Vadims Surkovs has been banned from the roads for 14 months.

Magistrates heard the 37-year-old Latvian was seen driving in an 'erratic manner' in Marsh Street, Hanley, at 2.50am on October 6.

Prosecutor Suzanne Swindail said: "It was speeding up and slowing down. It travelled in the wrong direction on that road before turning around at Kwik Fit.
