Odisha targets ₹2.52 lakh crore credit push as SLBC sets sights on Vision 2036

IN a major move to align financial growth with its long-term development blueprint, Odisha has set an ambitious credit target of Rs 2.52 lakh crore for FY 2025-26.
This was announced during the 179th State Level Bankers' Committee (SLBC) meeting held in Bhubaneswar on Friday, where stakeholders from across the financial and government spectrum gathered to strategize around the state's Vision 2036.
Development Commissioner Anu Garg, delivering the keynote address, underscored the critical role of inclusive credit access in achieving this vision. “As Odisha strides toward its Vision 2036, equitable and timely access to credit — especially for women, SC/ST communities, and economically weaker sections — is paramount,” she asserted.
