Kashika Misra becomes India's No. 1 amateur ladies golfer, making history for Odisha

Her rise to the No. 1 spot in the country's prestigious Amateur Golf Rankings is a remarkable achievement, underlining her consistent performances on the national and international golfing circuits.

Kashika's latest victory in this journey came at the IGU West Bengal Ladies and Junior Girls Golf Championship, held from May 13 to 16, 2025, at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club. She finished as the runner-up in the tournament, securing a significant 16-point lead that propelled her from the 4th position to the top of the rankings. Currently, no other male golfer from Odisha features in the amateur rankings, and Kashika’s accomplishment stands as a testament to her dedication and skill. Only one other player from Odisha, Manvi Singhania, is ranked 36th among the ladies.
