Yuchengcos, Zobels Eye Expansion of Maibarara Geothermal Complex

Maibarara Geothermal Inc. (MGI), backed by the Yuchengco Group and the Zobel family, is setting its sights on expanding its geothermal footprint in Batangas.
In a statement yesterday, MGI said it is gearing up for a deep exploration drilling program next year to "test an undrilled sector of Maibarara."
The company currently operates the 20-megawatt Maibarara-1 and the 12-MW Maibarara Geothermal Power Project in Santo Tomas, Batangas.
With the drilling program, MGI expects to unlock a new geothermal resource, potentially boosting its portfolio and contributing significantly to the country's clean energy supply.
