Visa eyes rollout of contactless payments in 7-Eleven stores
The Philippine Star
|November 19, 2025
Global payments firm Visa is partnering with 7-Eleven to bring tap-to-pay transactions, including Google Pay, to more convenience stores across the country, following a pilot launch that began earlier this year.
Visa country manager Jeffrey Navarro said the company has already deployed contactless payments in selected 7-Eleven outlets and is preparing for a broader rollout by year-end.
"We signed a landmark agreement in one of the top convenience stores in the country. Currently, it's in pilot mode just to see how the experience is. But really, before end of the year, it will expand and hopefully cover 100 percent of their stores by next year," Navarro said.
