Trillion Peso March: ‘Revolt of the soul’ urged vs graft
The Philippine Star
|September 20, 2025
The Church will call for a “revolt of the soul” during mass at the EDSA Shrine tomorrow as part of the “Trillion Peso March,” a nationwide protest against corruption linked to controversial flood control projects.
Caritas Philippines president Rev. Colin Bagaforo will lead the mass at 10:30 a.m.
The Trillion Peso March seeks to amplify public outrage over large-scale corruption in flood control projects and calls for accountability, an end to impunity and the defense of national dignity.
Organizers encouraged Filipinos to participate by wearing white or tying white ribbons as symbols of unity and resistance.
Parallel protest actions are also scheduled in Rizal Park and the EDSA People Power Monument.
Filipinos of all faiths are invited to offer a special prayer for the country during the event.
