There are already a lot of BYD cars on the road here in the Philippines thanks to the brand entering all the hotly contested segments in the country. They have an offering in the 7-seater MPV, compact crossover, and the sedan categories among others. Their next sight is one where the old guards still dominate and new players find it hard to disrupt the midsize SUV market. For that, they made a new formula. Why not take their flagship SUV - the BYD Tang - and make it more attainable? Enter the all-new BYD Tang DM-i.
The all-new BYD Tang DM-i is a 7-seater SUV that combines sleek styling, comfort, with other features you expect from a car in its category. It's compatible with those looking for their first or next family car but one that is more frugal than its competitors and more sustainable thanks to its DM-i technology.
There's a lot of space in the Tang DM-i thanks to its 4,870mm length, 1,950mm width, and 1,725mm tall. Wheelbase is at 2,820mm while ground clearance is at 182mm. It may not be as tall as others in its class, but it more than makes up for it in other areas. Like how it still has 235 liters of space at the rear even with the third-row seat up.
