Teodoro faces rape, lascivious acts charges

Two policewomen have filed charges of rape by sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness against Marikina City 1st District Rep. Marcelino Teodoro before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Teodoro branded the rape allegations as false, malicious and meant to destroy his reputation.
The accusers – aged 25 and 28 were assigned as close-in security for the congressman and his wife, Marikina Mayor Marjorie Ann Teodoro, the DOJ said.
"We confirm that two female police personnel have filed criminal cases against the former mayor and now congressman of Marikina," the city police said in a statement yesterday.
For their safety, the policewomen were reassigned to the Philippine National Police headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
