Star Magic's Newly Signed Artists Get Tips From Their Celebrity Parents

Following in the footsteps of their parents and relatives, the newly signed artists of Star Magic also made their foray into the entertainment world but are ready to forge out their own paths in the industry.

At the recent "Shining Now" contract signing and mediacon, proud parents and co-managers Patrick Garcia and Nikka Garcia, Karla Estrada, Gladys Reyes, and other local celebrities showed their support as well as offered their heartfelt advice to their children who embarked on their journeys in acting and singing.

Angelina Cruz, daughter of Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano, remarked that being a child of actors is a "big privilege." "To be a nepo baby is a big privilege. I acknowledged that privilege po. I guess it's just up to me to prove myself that I'm worthy of this chance," she said.

Angelina just graduated from college and will soon star in the upcoming Kapamilya series "The Alibi" alongside Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.

One advice that she got from her mom and dad is to put her heart in everything that she does.

"(My mom said that I have) to make sure that before I pursue anything, I'm 100 percent certain that I want to pursue this. And when doing something, I give my 110 percent. My dad (said) the same thing. They both have the same work ethic — to work hard and to make sure that what you do is what you love (and that's) passion," she told The STAR.

In a video message, Cesar and Sunshine expressed how proud they are of their daughter. Angelina was emotional upon hearing the thoughtful messages of her parents.

"It fills me with immense pride to see you finally become an artist," shared Sunshine. "A dream I know you held close for so long. Your dedication for self-improvement has always inspired me. And now that you've achieved your college degree, just as I wished for you and your siblings, now you have my complete and unwavering support. 101 percent yan, anak.
