SPANISH FILM FESTIVAL 2025 RETURNS WITH OVER 20 INT'L TITLES TO BE SCREENED

For its 24th edition, the Instituto Cervantes' Spanish Film Festival PELÍCULA>PELIKULA is coming back to Makati with over 20 acclaimed titles from Spain, Latin America and the Philippines to be shown from Oct. 10 to 16.
It will hold indoor and outdoor screenings at the Ayala Triangle Gardens and Powerplant Mall.
The 2024 Spanish historical drama “El 47,” helmed by Marcel Barrena, will serve as the opening film of the festival, which will commence on Oct. 10 at the Ayala Triangle Gardens.
It will be followed by the screening of films from various genres throughout the week-long event, including dramas, such as “Soy Nevenka” by Icíar Bollaín" and “Nosotros” by Helena Taberna; documentaries “Un hombre libre” by Laura Hojman and “La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés” by C. Tangana; and animations “Mariposas negras” by David Baute and “Robotia” by Diego Cagide and Diego Lucero.
The Argentinian drama “Por tu bien” by Axel Monsú, the Brazilian “Até que a música pare” by Cristiane Oliveira, Uruguay's “Becho” by José Infantozzi and the Peruvian “Reinas” by Klaudia Reynicke will be featured under the “Official Selection” section.
