'Slain drug suspects carried noodles, not shabu'

Instead of illegal drugs, the three men who were killed in an alleged shootout with anti-narcotics operatives in Cubao, Quezon City last week carried packages filled with noodles and stones.
According to Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) director Brig. Gen. Elmer Ragay, laboratory examinations showed that the seized bricks tested negative for shabu.
"But that is beside the point because police carried out a drug bust. We also have a video of what happened during the operation," Ragay said in a press briefing at Camp Crame yesterday.
