'Serious' about producing, Enrique Gil signs multi-film deal with MQuest Ventures

Enrique, via his production company Slingshot Studios (which produced "Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital"), together with his business partner Ranvel Rufino, recently entered into a multi-film deal with MQuest Ventures, the content creation unit of MediaQuest Holdings.

"It's really hard because I'll be honest, my whole life I was an actor," said Enrique in an interview after the contract-signing event. "But I think it's part of growing up. For me, it's my next step not only being an actor but also being a producer.

"And I really love films. So to be able to put my own inputs through the years, almost two decades in the industry, there's a side of me that I really wanted to see or explore and I think this was it. It's actually very hard. That's why it's very important to get the right people."

Enrique took a hiatus from showbiz for a couple of years and he used that break to foray into business.
