No last-minute insertions Senate flood probe to be sustained

“Our wish is that instead of putting funds under un-programmed allocation, let’s say AICS or MAIP, it should be lodged into the respective institutions. It should be with the DOH (Department of Health). Why should it be under under unprogrammed? Funds for AICS, for example, should be with the DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development),” he added.
Sotto maintained that the Senate would strictly limit the unprogrammed portion to necessary, foreign-assisted projects.
Healso reiterated the across-the-board 20 percent budget cut for each Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) project to prevent the overpricing scheme revealed by testimonies during Blue Ribbon hearings.
