Sara Refutes Online Photos: Rody Not in Hospital
The Philippine Star
|July 13, 2025
Has that viral "skin and bones" photo of former president Rodrigo Duterte appeared in your timeline? Vice President Sara Duterte has now confirmed it to be fake.
"This morning, somebody sent me a picture where it made it appear that President Duterte is in the hospital bed and has a hospital tag in his hands. The photo is not true. Maybe the photo was edited and it was another patient," the Vice President said in an interview in The Hague.
She added that while her father lost weight, he can still walk when she visited yesterday, contrary to what the seemingly Al-generated photo is trying to depict - the former president bedridden in the hospital.
