Over 200,000 jobs to be offered on Labor Day

A total of 216,144 local and overseas jobs will be offered during government-initiated job fairs scheduled for May 1, the Department of Labor and Employment has announced.
According to DOLE, the majority of the available 181,933 positions are for local employment, while 34,211 are for overseas placement.
The National Capital Region leads the regions with the highest number of job openings, offering more than 63,000 vacancies. Central Luzon follows with approximately 32,000, and Calabarzon with over 18,000 available jobs.
Jobseekers may apply for positions in various industries, including manufacturing, retail, business process outsourcing, accommodation and food service activities and financial and insurance services.
Among the top vacancies are positions for production operators, sales clerks, call center representatives, service crewmembers and microfinance officers.
