NBI denies Co’s aide, wife beaten, flown out of Phl

The National Bureau of Investigation yesterday denied allegations that former Ako Bicol congressman Zaldy Co’s aide and his wife were beaten, unlawfully detained or flown out of the country with the help of NBI personnel.
The bureau issued the statement after former Quezon City congressman Mike Defensor claimed that John Paul Estrada, Co’s resigned aide, and his wife were assaulted and transported to Chile using fake passports to prevent Estrada from testifying on the flood control scandal.
