Marikina Mayor Marjorie Ann Teodoro has come to the defense of her husband, city 1st District Rep. Marcelino Teodoro, branding the charges of rape by sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness against him as fiction and pure nonsense.

In a statement, the mayor said she would never abandon her husband, whom she described as a person of integrity.

“The accusations against him are not true,” she said in Filipino, referring to the complaints filed by two policewomen who were earlier assigned as close-in security.
