JULIA BARRETTO LAUNCHES OWN BEAUTY BRAND, PLANS TO CONTINUE STUDIES

Before their respective talent management agencies confirmed the breakup of Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson, the former launched her very first beauty brand collaboration with Viva Beauty.

- By CHARMIE JOY PAGULONG

Julia looked glowing and radiant when she attended the launch event of Bee Bee last Sept. 5. She showed no hint of whatever she was going through in her personal life. On Thursday, the Viva Artists Agency (VAA) and Star Magic announced in separate statements that their talents have called it quits.

"On behalf of our artist (Julia), Viva Artists Agency confirms that Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson have mutually and amicably parted ways for some time now," the VAA said.

"The circulating speculations in recent weeks regarding the reason for their breakup are unfounded and baseless. We emphasize that only information coming directly from Julia or Gerald should be regarded as accurate, as they are the primary parties involved. Any other claims are merely attempts to ride on the issue or to spread false information."

The Star Magic, for their part, requested the "public to respect their decision and refrain from spreading false narratives" and added that the two "are grateful to their fans and friends for the love and support."

The former sweethearts admitted their relationship to the public in 2021.

During the Bee Bee event, Julia told the press that her family had inspired her to venture into business and shared her plans to continue her education.
