IHAP: Towards a Robust Future for Investment Houses

Gerry B. Valenciano is the new IHAP president

Gerry B. Valenciano's interest in investment banking started in his college years. Since then, his interest in financial intermediation has only grown stronger as he progressed through different aspects of finance throughout his career.

As an investment banker, he has raised funds for projects aimed at nation-building, such as power and infrastructure projects. Regarding venture capital and private equity, he has been involved in funding start-up companies, and helped them develop in terms of corporate development and professionalism, guiding them towards becoming public companies.

Valenciano has been a member of IHAP's board of directors since 2017. Eight years later, he is now the organization's president. He feels honored for the trust given to him by his fellow heads of investment houses. People can expect a collaborative board under his leadership, as it is part of his philosophy.
