French experts eye NSCR operations

The P229-billion concession to handle the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) has received queries from French investors.
Recently, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) conducted a market sounding activity in Paris, France for the NSCR.
Transportation Undersecretary Timothy John Batan led the delegation that was tasked to shop the railway to French rail operators who may want to vie for the concession.
"We are really hearing good interest (from private firms and other countries). The market is very interested in participating and eventually bidding for the NSCR concession," Batan said.
