FINIX enters P-pop scene with women empowerment anthem
The Philippine Star
|September 18, 2025
The newly minted P-pop girl group FINIX aims to make their mark in the local recording scene as seven fierce female voices who champion women empowerment and resilience through their music.
Made up of Aki, Rikka, Zia, R-Lo, Tris, Cole and Minhea, FINIX was launched under GKD Records, a US-based independent music label.
“The ultimate goal is for us to be remembered as the seven fearless women who do everything in their power, who sang their hearts out to get the message out there about empowerment and resilience,” Aki told The STAR during their debut event.
“We hope for women out there to see us, hear our music, and say, ‘Oh I wanna be like her. I can do that as well. I can be whoever I want.’ Because you, guys, can see none of us look alike. And that’s intentional... And that’s a big part of the message that we’re trying to get out.”
Zia added, “I feel that at the end of the day, we just want to be able to change some things. Because it’s in the little things how people see women in the industry, how love is represented in the industry. So, things like these we want to be able to share a part of ourselves, too.”
Aside from women empowerment, they also want to put emphasis on mental health and love through their music.
