DOT Launches ‘One Visayas’ Tourism Circuits
The Philippine Star
|September 07, 2025
After years on hold, four regional offices of the Department of Tourism (DOT) have rolled out a program that allows travelers to visit select destinations in the Visayas in a single trip.
The DOT regional offices in Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas and the Negros Island Region (NIR) have crafted three tour packages under the "One Visayas" tourism circuit, each lasting at least eight days.
One of the circuits is the "UNESCO heritage and gastronomy trails," which features Iloilo City, Iloilo province, Bacolod City, Tacloban City, Samar province, Cebu and the UNESCO Global Geopark in Bohol.
Visitors will not only see UNESCO World Heritage Site Miag-ao Church in Iloilo but also savor local specialties such as La Paz batchoy, Bacolod's chicken inasal and Cebu lechon.
