DA: P20/kilo rice in Metro starts today

As the 10-day ayuda ban distribution ended after the midterm elections, the Department of Agriculture (DA) will roll out rice for P20 per kilo in Kadiwa stores in Metro Manila today.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said around 10 million people or two million families are expected to benefit from the program.
"As promised, the sale of rice for P20 per kilo, which was initially launched on Labor Day, will resume right after the midterm elections," Tiu Laurel said.
