Cop Nabbed for Sexual Assault

A police major was arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a cadet of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) in Silang, Cavite.
Charges of acts of lasciviousness were filed against the 35-year-old police officer following complaints filed by the 23-year-old victim.
The PNPA vowed to hold the officer accountable. It said that aside from criminal charges, it would file an administrative case against the suspect.
The academy said the case was an isolated incident.
National Police Commission vice chairman and executive officer Rafael Vicente Calinisan ordered the Napolcom's inspection, monitoring and investigation service to initiate an investigation.
