BCDA inks deals with Japan for RE, ICT projects

State-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has secured three deals with the Japanese government and private sector partners for renewable energy (RE) and information and communications technology (ICT) projects to support the development of its economic zones.
In a statement, the BCDA said a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by BCDA president and CEO Joshua Bingcang with Japanese industrial and engineering firm Kanadevia Corp. for the conduct of preliminary feasibility studies for a waste-to-energy (WTE) facility in New Clark City in Tarlac.
The WTE project supports the BCDA's aim to position the New Clark City as a green and resilient metropolis by promoting sustainable solutions and a circular economy.
