Batang Quiapo party-list urges gov't support for small businesses

The Batang Quiapo party-list yesterday urged the government to recognize the role of micro- and small businesses in the country's socio-economic development, especially on generating millions of jobs and livelihood opportunities despite little support.
Zofia Canlas, a Batang Quiapo party-list nominee, cited a Philippine Statistics Authority report that said 99 percent of businesses in the country are micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), most of which need easy access to capital.
