Art for All: A Celebration of Borderless Artistic Expression
The Philippine Star
|July 20, 2025
The Ortigas Art Festival brings different forms of art visual art, sculpture, photography, music, dance, film, and fashion - to the fresh and newly revitalized GH Mall in the heart of San Juan City.

"This year's Ortigas Art Festival marks a bold new chapter as we bring together the country's finest Filipino artists under one roof, from visionary painters and sculptors to groundbreaking photographers and fashion designers," states Mr. Renato Habulan, Consultant of the Ortigas Art Festival.
Across the Philippines and the diaspora, Filipino artists weave a wide and diverse array of talent, color, life, and emotions. It is through art that we form bonds of meaning, community, and cultural pride.
The lineup of featured artists in the Ortigas Art Festival lives up to the spirit behind it, pushing boundaries and artistic vision to approach a truly borderless and dynamic art community. From up-andcoming emerging artists to maestros, the artists hail from different places from all over the Philippines.
"From the very beginning, the Ortigas Art Festival was built on a powerful belief that art should be for everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience. We've always envisioned a space where art steps beyond gallery walls. By removing barriers, we've created a platform where artists can share their voices freely, where art becomes a shared experience that inspires, teaches, and connects," states Ms. Helen Mirasol, Consultant of the Ortigas Art Festival.
Throughout the East Wing Atrium exhibit, themes of identity, childhood, family, urban life, travel, and other narratives echo and flow through artworks in acrylic, oil, watercolor, wood, and mixed media.

The truth is not enough
On the sidelines of the Frankfurt book fair, over many breakfasts and cups of coffee with fellow writers, the tangled web of Philippine politics inevitably came up for discussion, particularly at this juncture when it seems imperative to sort out the good from the bad (or, to account for the nuances of the moment, the better from the worse).
