Angelo King Foundation donation kickstarts Damayan fund drive

Operation Damayan, The Philippine STAR's humanitarian arm, received a P1-million donation from Angelo King Foundation Inc., spearheading its fund drive for families affected by the recent onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

AFKI regularly partners with Operation Damayan and actively supports projects involving education, health care, medical assistance and poverty alleviation, among others.

Severe Tropical Storm Kristine left a trail of destruction in Southern Luzon, particularly in the Bicol region, and has claimed the lives of more than 100 persons.
