AboitizPower Starts P30-B Bond Offering

Aboitiz Power Corp. has opened the public offering of its fixed-rate retail bonds totaling up to P30 billion, with issuance set for next month.
In a stock exchange filing yesterday, the power arm of the Aboitiz Group said the offer period is scheduled to run until July 4, ahead of the issuance on July 14.
This came after the Securities and Exchange Commission issued the order of registration and certificate of permit to offer securities for sale dated June 25.
The bond offer, consisting of a principal amount of P20 billion and an oversubscription option of up to P10 billion, marks the first tranche of Aboitiz Power's P100-billion bond program.
