Filipino seafarers have been rescued without any physical injury or illness.

- — With Mayen Jaymalin, AFP, Reuters, Pia Lee-Brago

He also gave assurance that the rescued Filipino seafarers will soon be repatriated.

For security reasons, Cacdac declined to disclose where the rescued seafarers were taken or whether they had already communicated with their respective families.

Cacdac said among the 13 who are still missing were three or four unverified fatalities.

"We are fully aware of at least two statements that have come out, the first of course is the Houthi statement that they have several of the Eternity C crew and second is the statement of US that they denounced this particular action of taking in the crew as a kidnapping action," Cacdac said in a press briefing yesterday.

"But in either case, we still have to confirm for ourselves whether indeed the Houthis have the rest of the crew," Cacdac added.
