Rana Inaugurates Eco-Stop at Gharana Wetland

In a major push towards ecotourism and conservation, Minister for Forest, Ecology & Environment, Javed Ahmed Rana, today inaugurated the newly constructed Eco-Stop Building at Gharana Wetland, a globally recognized Important Bird Area (IBA) in Jammu district.
Describing Gharana as more than just a wetland, Rana called it a “living symbol of ecological balance and natural heritage,” underlining the site’s critical role in biodiversity conservation, water regulation, and climate resilience.
