The Northlines
|16 MAY 2025
The leaders and workers from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday carried out a Tiranga rally in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk to appreciate the armed forces for the successful ‘Operation Sindoor’ launched in response to the Pahalgam attack on April 22 in which 26 people, mostly tourists lost their lives.
The slogans like “Hum Hindustani hain, Hindustan hamara hai” reverberated at Srinagar’s iconic clock tower in Lal Chowk with the leaders and workers marching under the tight security arrangements.
The rally, held to mark the success of Operation Sindoor, a military action done by India after the deadly Pahalgam carnage.
According to the details collected by the news agency, the rally commenced from Sher-i-Kashmir Park near Srinagar and culminated at Lal Chowk, drawing participation from hundreds of BJP supporters and senior leaders waving the tricolour in unison.
