NSUI slams JU for show cause notice to student leader

The National Students' Union of India (NSUI), J&K unit, strongly condemned the issuance of a Show Cause Notice to its State President, Ajay Lakhotra, by the University of Jammu's Department of Law over his participation in a peaceful protest regarding vehicle entry restrictions on campus.
Lakhotra, an LL.M third semester student, called the allegations "ambiguous and baseless," asserting his constitutional right to peaceful protest and free speech under Articles 14, 19(1)(a), and 19(1)(b). He denied any disruption during the demonstration, which he said was aimed at encouraging dialogue on student welfare and sustaina
