IUST organizes NCD screening & awareness programme

Awantipora: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) conducted a Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) Screening and Awareness Program at its campus today, under the DST-PURSE initiative of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The event, held as part of the program's Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) component, was a collaborative effort between the School of Health Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Centre for Vocational Studies.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the rising burden of NCDs such as diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer, while emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare and early detection.
