Albeit it is appreciable that the Cyber Police Station Jammu has issued an important advisory cautioning citizens against falling prey to fraudulent investment schemes flourishing on various social media platforms, this advisory alone is not sufficient for the thousands of netizens who remain highly vulnerable to such financial traps circulating widely across the digital ecosystem.

Given its technological expertise, the Cyber Police must devise a universal and comprehensive solution to neutralize the operations of such fraudsters and prevent these scams from materializing into harsh realities. Reportedly, in one such deceptive scheme, fraudsters impersonate representatives of fictitious investment companies. They begin by assigning simple tasks to victims and luring them with small monetary rewards to build trust. Once the victim is sufficiently enticed, they are persuaded to invest larger sums, only to be subsequently defrauded when communication is abruptly severed and they are blocked without recourse.
