CVPPL signs loan agreement with J&K Bank

Chenab Valley Power Project Limited (CVPPL), a joint venture of NHPC Ltd (51%) and JKSPDC (49%), has entered into an agreement with Jammu & Kashmir Bank for a term loan of 1000 crore to fund the construction of the 1000 MW Pakal Dul Hydro Electric Project in Kishtwar district.
The loan will support the development of the 4x250 MW greenfield hydroelectric project on the Marusudar River, a tributary of the Chenab, contributing significantly to the region's renewable energy capacity.
