CONGRESS leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said India is facing its highest unemployment rate in the last 45 years due to BJP's ideology.

Unemployment at its peak due to BJP: Rahul

"About 30 lakh government jobs are lying vacant in various departments in the central government. If the INDIA bloc is voted to power, we will fill these vacancies and create more job opportunities for youngsters," the Congress MP said while campaigning for Congress and DMK candidates in Tirunelveli and Coimbatore districts.

"To offer skill development training to undergraduates and diploma-holders, we will pass an Act that guarantees the Right to Apprenticeship. Every Indian youth will get the right to do apprenticeship in private or public sector companies. They will get one-year training in such companies and also get paid 1 lakh during the period. If they perform well during the apprenticeship, they will be posted permanently. This will allow millions of Indian youths to get experience," he said.

Calling the Lok Sabha election an ideological war between those who want to change the Indian Constitution and those who want to protect it, Rahul said, "Our constitution is under attack from Prime Minister Modi and RSS. I want to reiterate that India does not belong to organisations like the RSS. Today our educational institutions are under attack by vice chancellors from RSS. Bureaucracy, election institution, and investigating agencies have been taken over by the RSS," Rahul said.
