First impressions of MG M9 electric MPV, which comes loaded with luxe

WHILE many of us enjoy driving, there's something special about being comfortably chauffeur-driven especially in a spacious, wellequipped car. Today's cars focus heavily on technology in the front row, but true luxury is still found in the back seat.

In today's fast-paced life, a relaxing or work-friendly second row is not just a luxury for many, it's a need. Whether they require a mobile office, a luxe lounge on wheels, or simply a soothing nap between two cities, comfort in the second row is non-negotiable.

This is where premium multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) come in. Though few in number, the models that exist have been doing well in the market. Now, MG Motor India has hit the sweet spot in this segment with the MG M9, an all-electric luxury van loaded with features.

I recently spent a few hours with it in Goa - from the driver's seat to the plush second and third rows.

Big and boxy

Measuring 5.27m in length, the M9 is a full-sized 7-seater MPV. With a 2m width, 1.8m height, and 3.2m wheelbase, it offers a room-like interior.
