THE Bombay High Court on Monday ordered the constitution of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and registration of an FIR in the next two days against five police officers found responsible for the death of Badlapur sexual assault accused Akshay Shinde.
THE Bombay High Court has agreed to hear on Tuesday stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra's plea to quash the FIR against him for allegedly insulting Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde.
A Bench of Justice Sarang Kotwal and Justice SM Modak on Monday posted Kamra's plea after senior advocate Navroz Seervai on Kamra's behalf cited "extreme urgency" given death threats issued to the comedian. The plea was initially listed for hearing on April 21.
