...says Monisha Blessy, who talks about how she got the chance to be a part of Rajinikanth's Coolie and Vijay's Jana Nayagan, working with the two veterans, and more

THEY say, 'Good things come to those who wait.' Maaveeran writer Chandru Anbazhagan was also part of Rajinikanth's Coolie, and yet actor Monisha Blessy, who played Sivakarthikeyan's sister in the Madonne Ashwin film, didn't really want to throw her hat in the ring for a possible role in the Lokesh Kanagaraj actioner.
"I knew that he was a part of Coolie, but I never once approached him for a role in the film, even though I really hoped to play a part in it. I don't ask anybody for chances because it could sometimes put them in a difficult spot," says Monisha, whose manifestation found fruition when Chandru reached out to her asking for her portfolio.
"He did not get back to me for another whole month. Then, just two days before the shoot, he informed me that I was selected to play Sathyaraj sir's daughter. He also told me I'd share screen space with Rajinikanth sir."
Monisha didn't just get to share a normal scene with the Superstar, but also be part of an action sequence. "Honestly, when I finished shooting, I was worried that those scenes might not make the final cut," she reveals candidly. Reminiscing about her very first shot for Coolie, Monisha reveals that she wasn't informed that the scene would also feature Rajinikanth.
