Buchi Babu Memorial Tournament to get underway on August 15

THE Buchi Babu Memorial tournament, one of the oldest tournaments in the country, will run from August 15 to September 11, at Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, Salem and Natham.

The first semifinals will be played at Tirunelveli, second semifinals and final will be played at Natham. The tournament will be comprised of 10 state-based sides Madhya Pradesh (defending champion), Jharkhand, Railways, Gujarat, Mumbai, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Hyderabad and Baroda -besides two local teams TNCA President's XI and TNCA XI.
The 12 teams have been divided into four groups of three teams each. The top teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals.
TAKE Sports will be the title sponsor for the Buchi Babu tournament. TAKE Sports has been the sponsor of TNCA cricket in the earlier years and is now happy to be associated once again with TNCA as the sponsor for its state teams.
