Army holds orientation programme to groom top officers for leadership roles

A training and orientation programme will be held from September 9 to 13 for senior officers of tri-services to foster jointness and integration, the ministry of defence (MoD) said in a statement on Sunday.
"The five-day developmentcum-orientation programme has been designed for Major General and equivalent officers from the three services, along with officers from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs, and Ministry of Home Affairs," MoD said.
The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) is organising the Combined Operational Review and Evaluation programme for senior officers with an aim to create a detailed understanding of the operational environment.
