Ajit faction MLAs in touch with Sr Pawar

THE victory of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP in the Lok Sabha polls has prompted at least a dozen MLAs belonging to the faction led by Ajit Pawar to renew ties with the parent party, sources said.
The Ajit Pawar group contested four seats and won only one, while the other group contested 10 seats and won eight.
The 12 MLAs reportedly helped the Sharad Pawar-led NCP candidates in the Lok Sabha elections. "They have proved their loyalty to Sr Pawar. He is ready to accept them back. They have shown their willingness to join the NCP (SP)" said a pro-Pawar MLA.
Ajit's wife Sunetra Pawar failed to win in Baramati, the family bastion. The demoralizing effect has forced the MLAs to look for options.
