PUNJAB Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema today presented the ₹2.36 lakh crore budget for 2025-26 without imposing new taxes, announcing the first-ever "drug census" but not listing the Aam Aadmi Party's pre-election promise to give monthly cash benefit of ₹1,000 to women.
PUNJAB Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema today presented the ₹2.36 lakh crore budget for 2025-26 without imposing new taxes, announcing the first-ever "drug census" but not listing the Aam Aadmi Party's pre-election promise to give monthly cash benefit of ₹1,000 to women. The total revenue receipts have been projected to be ₹1,11,740 crore. The state's tax revenue accounts for ₹63,250 crore, and the share of central taxes is pegged at ₹25,703 crore, along with a central grant-in-aid of ₹10,576 crore.
