FOLLOWING the stampede on January 29 in Prayagraj during Mauni Amavasya at the Maha Kumbh, which resulted in the loss of 30 lives and left many injured, members of the minority community stepped in to assist the exhausted devotees wandering tired and hungry on the crowded roads of the Sangam city.
The Muslims not only opened mosques, shrines, and Imambadas for the devotees, but also provided food and shelter for thousands at Khuldabad Subzimandi mosque, Bada Tazia Imambada, Himmatganj Dargah, and Chowk Masjid.
